I aspire to become a commercial and military pilot. Currently, I’m working on earning a Command Sponsorship within the USAF Reserves to secure a pilot slot by the end of my senior year at Delaware State University.

The Tuskegee Airmen have been a major inspiration in my aviation journey so far so I wanted to continue honoring them by joining this program. I value exposing underrepresented communities to the aviation industry and Tuskegee NEXT gives me the opportunity to do that.

My future aviation aspirations are to become an airline pilot …Ultimately, after achieving these goals, I want to give back by making aviation more accessible to underrepresented minorities, just as the Tuskegee Next program helped me.

I grew up living near airports, and watching airplanes take off and land became part of my everyday life. Over time, that routine turned into a genuine fascination with aviation. I have always felt drawn to the sky and the freedom it symbolizes, and I aspire to build a future in this field.

I applied to Tuskegee NEXT because I saw it as the first foundational step in my aviation career. Being surrounded by other motivated, like-minded individuals who share the same goals as I do pushes me to grow and helps shape me into the pilot and leader I aspire to become.

I aspire to become a Corporate pilot, and further down the line, I’m also interested in becoming an Aircraft Mechanic. I also want to give back the same opportunities and knowledge that Tuskegee NEXT has given me by introducing young African American girls to the world of aviation, so that they know there is space for them within aviation if they choose to follow this path.

I first fell in love with aviation because it helped guide me during a hard time in my life. However now I love the flying of being able to ground and having a clear goal. My goal is to become one of the very few African American women pilots in America.

In the future, I aspire to become an airline pilot for Air France and eventually open a seaplane charter business. I am also passionate about improving aviation in developing countries, especially my parents’ home country of Guinea, whether through expanding aircraft access, enhancing airport facilities, or supporting aviation education.

To me, aviation is an industry that embodies the incredible possibilities of human intelligence and cutting-edge engineering. What excites me most is the opportunity to combine flying with engineering by applying concepts in aircraft systems, structures, and design
