About Me:

My name is Agamjot Kaur, and I attend Farmingdale State College, where I am pursuing a dual degree in Aeronautical Science: Professional Pilot and Aviation Administration. My interests include astronomy, aviation, physics, and literature. I enjoy spending time in nature, especially at the beach or walking in parks, as I have always loved being around animals. I am naturally a curious person and thoroughly enjoy exploring and learning about the world around me.

Why are you passionate about aviation?
I grew up living near airports, and watching airplanes take off and land became part of my everyday life. Over time, that routine turned into a genuine fascination with aviation. I have always felt drawn to the sky and the freedom it symbolizes, and I aspire to build a future in this field. Simultaneously, I’m driven to help create a more diverse and inclusive industry, and I hope to see more women from underrepresented communities in the cockpit.

Why did you choose to apply to Tuskegee NEXT and how did you hear about the program?

Tuskegee NEXT presented an outstanding opportunity to commence my career in aviation. I was deeply inspired by their mission to expand access to flight training for marginalized youth and to foster excellence over the last decade.

By becoming part of the program, I hope to carry forward the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, whose courage, perseverance, and exceptional achievements have forever transformed the future of aviation.

I learned about the program through Daniel Mosquea (a Class of 2025 alumnus), who loved his time at Tuskegee NEXT and encouraged me to apply.

What are your future aviation aspirations?

My goal is to graduate from college with my dual degrees and pilot certificates, and to continue flight instructing. Ultimately, I aspire to become an airline captain. I am committed to supporting efforts that foster a more diverse aviation industry and paying it forward by broadening opportunities for future generations of aviation professionals.

Fun Fact:
I love cooking different cuisines and whipping up matcha lattes.
